Paulie started boxing in the lightwelter weight division (140lbs) in 2001 in the amateur ranks and compiled a record of 20-5.
Tournaments competed in:
- 2001 Boxing for Christ Champion.
- 2003 Dessert Showdown Champion.
- 2005 Cal Pal State Champion.
Early 2006 Paul turned professional and compiled 11 fights against top prospects in his division. Ending his run as a fighter in 2014 with a win over Freddie Roach protege, Zachary Wohlman.
Now retired from fighting Paulie is a full time boxing coach at Infinite Training Systems in Costa Mesa CA.
